Aleuts from the Aleutian Islands hunted in their Baidarkas or Umiaks for seal, otter, and whales. They faced the open sea in those skin covered kayaks that were watertight. This depicts a hunter searching for a seal.

She specializes in oils, acrylic, and watercolor—creating soft, natural scenes with rugged coastlines, waves, and mountains.
