RSJ-O $35 5x7 Salmonberry Summer
This painting features an Alutiiq grandma with her grandkids picking salmonberries. The grandson dropped his berries and is distracted by a friendly raven. They are surrounded by fireweed and lupine which grows abundantly in most of Alaska. They are dressed in historical clothing which was typically made from bird skins or otter and squirrel pelts. Their beautiful handmade baskets were usually made from grass, spruce roots, baleen, and birch bark.
