This exquisite nacaq-headdress was made by Alutiiq Seal Artist Karla Nolen using leather and glass beads. The artist connected to traditional design by using ancestral colors. Portraying petroglyphs of qayaqs, whales, and a face. This headdress is meant to be displayed and not worn.
