Alaska Native Cultures and Issues
Alaska Native Cultures and Issues
This book addresses some of the questions Alaska Native people are most frequently asked about their histories, their cultures, and the most important issues that affect their lives today. The questions- and the answers- may surprise you. The responses and recommended readings were compiled by a group of Alaska-based individuals and scholars, including members of the Alaska Native community and professors from University of Alaska Anchorage and Anchorage Pacific University. These resources provide a brief introduction to some complex and highly charged issues in Alaska today.
