PLA $225 Nautical Whale Basket

Cherry base with birch feet, cane on reed with twilled weave. In the middle is a carved whale and sea grass filler around the rim. This gorgeous, hand-woven basket was created by local Kodiak artist Penelope Cyr-Lorenson. “Penelope” means weaver, a fitting name for Penelope Cyr-Lorenson, who weaves a variety of refined baskets. She has lived on Kodiak Island since 1979 and started her weaving career in the early 1980’s. Dimensions are 3.50"H X 7"W X 2.25"D
