A striking pendant with a wood spiral centerpiece wrapped in woven wax linen with blue glass accent beads and a soft dyed blue salmon leather backing. Handmade by Alutiiq artist Ronna Myles-Era. The pendant measures 2.5" in circumference and is hung on a black silk cord.
Ronna Myles-Era is an Alutiiq artist based in Southern California who learned to weave from her mother. Her grandmother married Benny Benson, creator of the Alaskan flag. She loves making things out of found objects from nature and creates using a variety of materials such as cedar root, sweet grass, strawberry runners, wax linen, and salmon skin.
