Woven Cone Necklace

This deceptively simple yet captivating necklace was made by Alutiiq Seal Artist Mariah Stapleton. Intricate weaving of black and white wax linen accented by beads. This necklace is approximately 11.5" in length. A beautiful statement piece that reflects traditional dance cones.

Mariah taught herself to bead during a childhood spent on a remote Alaskan island. She enjoys making jewelry inspired by ancestral designs and the natural colors of Kodiak, and weavings that mirror the patterns of Alutiiq clothing, tattoos, and regalia.
