A vibrant red woven ball pendant is accented by a red glass bead and hangs on a silver chain. The ball is made with dyed wax linen and was handwoven by Allutiiq artist Mariah Stapleton. Hanging on a 18" chain, the pendant is 1" in diameter.
Mariah taught herself to bead during a childhood spent on a remote Alaskan island. She enjoys making jewelry inspired by ancestral designs and the natural colors of Kodiak, and weavings that mirror the patterns of Alutiiq clothing, tattoos, and regalia.
