Suqpiag Artist, Ronna Myles-Era first discovered these gifts from the ocean during a visit to Fossil Beach on Kodiak Island, AK in 2008. This led to her creation of her first "Kelpie." Returning home to the San Juan Islands, WA, she began to experiment with how to dry and prepare bull kelp that she found on the shores of the Salish Sea.
Rattle is filled with pebbles, rice or beads to create a unique rhythms from the interplay of movement and materials and decorated with beads.
